Mr. Klein co-founded Littlejohn in 1996 and served as president from inception through 2011, when he became the chief executive officer of the Firm. Mr. Klein has more than 20 years of private equity and special situation investing experience and has led many of the Firm’s successful investments. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Firm’s activities and serves on the Private Equity Investment, Distressed Securities Risk Oversight, and Performing Credit Management committees. Mr. Klein is active in many of the Firm’s current investments, and currently serves as a director on the boards of Brown Jordan, PlayPower, World and Main, alphabroder and Cornerstone Chemicals.
Mr. Klein began his private equity career at Joseph, Littlejohn & Levy (“JLL”) before acquiring and serving as an executive officer of S&S Industries, a mid-size manufacturing business. Mr. Klein received a B.S. from New York University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
